Pre-Nuptial Agreements
You've Said Yes - Now What?
Pre-Nuptial Agreements
Pre-nuptial agreements are entered into by couples before they get married or enter a civil partnership.

It may feel a bit negative to start your lives together with a pre-nuptial agreement, however think of it as a set of things you are agreeing to rather than the relationship inevitably ending in divorce.

They are not enforceable in the UK, but can be taken into account by the court in the event that things go wrong.

A pre-nuptial agreement should be signed by both parties at least 28 days before the official 'I do' date.

Both parties should get their own legal advice. Negotiations can take time.
